Codexa Academy — a student portal for live cohorts
The invite-only portal behind our own academy: sessions, recordings, assignments, quizzes, grades and certificates for every course it runs.
The challenge
Live cohorts run on a video call, but everything around the call — who is enrolled, what was recorded, what is due, who has fallen behind — needs a home that learners and instructors both actually use.
Our approach
A student portal built into the same Next.js and Payload application as this website. Students see only the courses they are enrolled in; each course hub carries its sessions with meeting links and recordings, announcements, assignments submitted as text, files or GitHub links, and quizzes that grade multiple-choice answers automatically alongside short answers. Instructors work from the CMS admin.
The results
The website, the CMS and the academy run as one deployment, and learners get a grades page and a printable certificate for each course they complete.
